Discover Our High-Speed E-Commerce Bagging Range At The Empack Show
Between the 25th & 26th May, we will be demonstrating the very latest in innovative e-commerce bagging tech at the much-anticipated Empack show. which returns to the Birmingham NEC after a two-year covid-enforced hiatus. You'll find us on stand B10.
Machinery that's not to be missed!
For this year's event, we've teamed up with the industry-leading e-commerce solution providers Hugo Beck and Clearmark in order to launch our new, industry-disrupting model, the FLEXO 700 E-COM. This model is one of the highlights of the wider paper or plastic horizontal e-commerce range we currently offer.
This all-in-one FFSM bagging machine with print and apply labelling capabilities combines the wrapping automation expertise of German machinery manufacturer Hugo Beck, for whom we are the exclusive UK distributor, with Clearmark’s outstanding British-made labelling technology. Designed to streamline e-commerce and mail order applications, the system delivers enhanced speed and efficiency, as well as total accuracy for high-speed, high-volume operations.
Using opaque flexible shrink films, the FLEXO 700 E-COM forms tight shipping bags for varied size products that adapt seamlessly to the exact length of each. This void-avoiding method minimises material waste and improves the aesthetic finish of all bags. Furthermore, the machine boasts a 700mm wide sealing jaw which is completely unrivalled in the market and is able to accept a diverse array of e-commerce products, future-proofing any operation. Meanwhile, the integrated ICE Vulcan print & apply labeller, a unique non-pneumatic system, allows shipping labels to be applied seamlessly to packs as the film is moving, removing the need for the old fashioned 'tamp' application. The Vulcan significantly decreases cycle times and increases throughput, resulting in an efficient and reliable, maintenance-free label application, without pneumatic parts or compressed air consumption.
We're pleased to announce that this game-changing unit - which can reduce labour costs by replacing up to 8 people per line compared to a manual process - will be available for live demonstrations on our stand on both days of the exhibition.
Also on show...
Visitors to the Empack expo will also be able to see our Max Pro 24 vertical bagging machine in action, which is the widest autobagging unit of its kind currently available on the market. With a generous aperture of 24”, it’s roomy enough to bag two shoeboxes side by side. Plus, with a thermal Zebra printer for direct on-bag printing and precision bag deflators, the Max Pro 24 makes light work of larger hand-loaded e-commerce packs. The live autobagging exhibit will be demonstrating it's impressive capacity and easy-to-use operation by running a range of sample packs in 100% recyclable, high-definition, printed and branded poly bags. Visitors are welcome to trial their own products on the unit during the show to discover the Max Pro's full potential.
To complement our e-commerce all-stars, we'll also be showing off a state-of-the-art side feed sleeve wrapping line.
Shortlisted for the Innovations Gallery
Just when we thought we couldn't get any more excited about being back at the Empack show, the organisers surprised us with the news that our revolutionary OXBTEC_RCB shrink film has been selected as a contender for their 'Most Innovating Product' Award. This means that an external adjudicator deemed our material one of the best 10 innovations from those put forward by this year's exhibitors and as such OXBTEC_RCB will be featured in the official Innovation Gallery at the entrance of the event.
OXBTEC_RCB is the UK's first 100% recyclable food-contact barrier shrink film that's formulated with circular polymers. Manufactured by Dow and Bollore and distributed exclusively by us in the UK, this film enables for the first time the use of recycled content in food-contact applications, which in turn can be recycled after use. Show visitors will be the ultimate judges of each product's pioneering credentials however, by voting for the final winners on day two of the event.
